Our Story
Creekstone Montessori School is a public charter school located in Red Wing, Minnesota, now proudly in its fourth year of operation. The Minnesota Department of Education approved Creekstone Montessori School in August 2021, granting authorization to establish a new charter school. Following approval, Creekstone formally executed a charter contract with its authorizer, the Minnesota Office of Charter School Authorizing (MOChA), which continues to provide required oversight of the school’s governance, compliance, and operations.
Creekstone Montessori School opened its doors to students in Fall 2022 and is located on the historic Red Wing VASA grounds at 5225 US Highway 61 #3, Red Wing, MN 55066.
Rooted in Montessori principles and methods of education, Creekstone was founded to create a learning environment that honors each child’s natural desire to learn. Our mission is to empower all children to reach their full social, academic, and emotional potential, while inspiring a lifelong passion for learning and fostering deep respect for humanity and the natural world.
"Establishing lasting peace is the work of education."
